Hazel Lucille Loyd Heck's Obituary
Hazel Lucille Loyd Heck passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 in Covington, LA at the age of 96. She was born on August 28, 1917 in Covington, LA to the late Louis, Sr. and Lillie Johnson Loyd. Hazel was married to her beloved husband, the late Eddie Evans Heck, for 65 years and together they had five children, Warren Heck (June), Ray Heck (Eyvonne), Douglas Heck (Emily), Sharon Bass (Fred), and Barbara Bernard (James). She will be dearly missed by her precious 14 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren. Hazel was the sister of Ruth A. Loyd, the late Ezra Loyd, Eldon Loyd, Edith Loyd and Evelyn L. Wright. Hazel was a homemaker and dedicated herself to raising her family. Her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren were her pride and joy. She was a devoted member of Shepherd’s Care Ministries. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Shepherd’s Care Ministries, 20115 Hwy 1081, Covington, LA 70435 at 3:00 PM with visitation from 1:00 PM until service time. Interment will follow services in Barker-McManus Cemetery, Covington, LA.
