Harry Roy Lenel's Obituary
Harry Roy Lenel, 74 of Waldheim, LA passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2017. He was born June 27, 1942 in Waldheim, LA to Raymond H. Lenel and Celestine Wager.
Harry is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Mattie Lucille Lenel and his lifetime companion Rudy; his three children Lucinda Lenel, Cheryl Vallas (Keith), Harry R. Lenel; and five grandchildren Daniel Lenel, Cody Lenel, Tyler Lenel, Raven Lenel, and Megan Lenel; and four great-grandchildren Maci Lenel, Avery Bonesteel, Bentleigh Campbell, and Oliver Lenel. He is also survived by his siblings Leonard Lenel, Eula Montgomery, and Celestine Rushing.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one grandson Gauge Lenel, and two sisters Claire Sharp and Carol Ann Lenel.
Harry was a lifelong resident of Waldheim, LA. He served as Justice of the Peace for 21 years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and tractor mechanic. He always had a joke to tell and at every family get together he kept everyone laughing. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 1:00 PM with visitation on Thursday beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow the service in Davis Cemetery, Abita Springs, LA.
