Al Godoy
I have so many wonderful memories of Mrs. Wood. In the 1950s,her son John was my best friend, and I spent many an afternoon in her beautiful home on Walnut Street in New Orleans. We would all play Canasta in the parlor on rainy days. In the summer, I looked forward to weedend adventures with John in the wilds of the North Shore, where the General and Mrs. Wood had a camp -- 'Wood's Acres', as I recall. She was always a generous hostess. My sympathies to the Wood family.
