Harold Joseph Dupont's Obituary
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Harold Joseph Dupont. Harold was born on December 3, 1939, and passed away peacefully at home on June 13, 2026.
Known throughout his life by so many as “Meatball,” Harold was a wonderful man who was loved by many. He had a way of making others feel cared for, welcomed, and valued. His presence was steady, his heart was generous, and the love he gave to his family and friends will never be forgotten.
He was a beloved husband to Inez and a loving father to his only child, Mary Beth Oddo (Frank). He was also a proud grandfather to Frankie (DeVan) and Ainsley, and a cherished
great-grandfather to Finn and Fischer.
He is also survived by his stepdaughter, Wanda Waggoner; and her children, Leroy (Cari) and Rachelle; and her grandchildren, Delani, Hadlee, Collin, and Deegen; along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him deeply.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Numa and Lena Dupont; brother, Roy Dupont; and step-son-in-law, Bud Waggoner.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM,

Our family would like to thank the doctors and staff at DaVita Covington Trace Dialysis Unit in Covington for their dedicated care throughout Harold’s dialysis treatment, as well as St. Tammany Hospice for the compassion and comfort they provided during his final days.
