Hardie Rogers' Obituary
Hardie Rogers passed away Sunday, January 9, 2011. He was born September 4, 1922 in Athens, TN to the late William Hardie and Juliette Baker Rogers and has been a resident of Covington since 1967.
The beloved husband of Josephine Williams Rogers for 64 years, he is survived by four children: Theresa Anzalone (Gene), Cherie Bernard-Frobish (Matt), William Hardie Rogers (Helen) and Joseph Winston Rogers (Hifae); two sisters, Carrie Waters and Ada Rogers; nine grandchildren: Brittany A. Russell, Benjamin N., Nathan R. and Hannah A. Bernard, Catherine R. Crutchfield, W. Joshua, Monique E., Olivia E. and Christopher J. Rogers and one great granddaughter, Charlotte M. Russell. He was preceded in death by nine siblings: Willie Matlock, Jewie Ray, Roy Rogers, Lenoir Mozley, Hyatt Rogers, Flora (Mantooth) Rockwell, Lorena Gingrow, Mary Iowa Reynolds and Laverne Mantooth.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at Collins Boulevard Baptist Church, 1501 Collins Blvd. Covington, LA 70433.
Visiting hours at the church will begin Wednesday at 1:00 PM.
