Graham Smith's Obituary
Graham Lee Smith age 79 of Covington passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 31, 2024 after a prolonged illness. He was born on November 9, 1944 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
He is survived by his daughter, Heather Smith Cantù, her husband Dennis and his grandchildren Blaze and Tal Cantù. He is also survived by the love of his life Barbara Coutrado, their dog Lee and Barbara’s children Lindsay VanAs and John Coutrado, their spouses and children and his life long friends Sam and Tez Larche.
He is preceded in death by his mother Bonnie Lee Mulhall, his step father Leo Mulhall and his best dog friend Forest.
Graham graduated from Alcee Fortier High School and received his business degree from Southeastern Louisiana University followed by a successful career in the oil and gas industry retiring as an area landman from BP Amoco. He was a New Orleanian at heart and enjoyed sharing the culture and history. He had a love of classic cars, fishing, the New Orleans Saints, LSU football and sharing stories with his grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at 2:00 pm at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, Louisiana with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM.
