Gracie Jean Bubrig's Obituary
Gracie Buras Bubrig passed away after a brave battle with ovarian cancer on Monday, October 29, 2007 at the age of 66. Gracie was the heart and soul of her family. She breathed life and joy into every room she entered. Her legacy is seen in the hearts and minds of those she leaves behind. She was the beloved wife of Karl Thomas Bubrig for 48 years. Daughter of the late Louis C. Buras and Claudia V. Buras. Sister of Bruce Wayne Buras. Loving mother of Karl Thomas Bubrig, Jr. and Byron Keith Bubrig. Mother-in-Law of Celeste Bubrig and Kristi Bubrig. “Meme” to her grandchildren Kelly Bubrig, Rachel Lewis, Ryan Lewis, Grant Bubrig, and Louis Bubrig. Gracie also leaves numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends to cherish her memory. A native of Plaquemines Parish and a resident of Mandeville for the past 25 years.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to a Celebration of Mass at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1501 West Causeway Approach, Mandeville, LA 70471 on Friday November 2, 2007 at 12:00 Noon. Visitation AT THE CHURCH will begin on Friday at 10:00 AM. Private interment will be at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Tammany Hospital Foundation, 1202 S. Tyler Street Covington, LA 70433 or Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1501 West Causeway Approach, Mandeville, LA 70471 are preferred.
