Grace Elizebeth Thibodeaux's Obituary
Grace Elizabeth Thibodeaux was born at 8:06 a.m. Monday, February 19, 2007, in Covington, and passed on to eternal life shortly after 11 a.m. in her father's arms.
She was tiny, with dark hair and blue eyes. Outwardly, she looked perfect; however, the family had known for many months that little Grace had a rare condition known as Potter's Syndrome, which would only allow her to live for a few moments.
The prayers of so many for a miracle were answered when Grace proved to be strong and courageous, holding onto life for three hours until she had a chance to meet and be held by her brothers and sister.
Grace touched many lives before she was even born, and she was enveloped in the love of family and friends as she left us.
Grace is survived by her parents, Jonathan and Faith Thibodeaux; her brothers, Joseph and Timothy, and her sister, Kaylee, all of Slidell; her grandparents, Ron and Robyn Thibodeaux of Covington and Sven and Cindy Markert of Mary Esther, Fla., and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A funeral Mass will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2280 W. 21st Ave., Covington, with visitation at noon.
Burial will be in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
