Grace Elizebeth LeBlanc's Obituary
Grace Elizabeth Bourgeois LeBlanc passed away on Monday, February 2, 2009 at the age of 92.
She was the daughter of Alcede Dugas and Francois Bourgeois. She was preceded in death by her husband O’Neil J. LeBlanc, her brothers Ivy, Claude and Dennis Bourgeois and sister Anna Bourgeois Davi. She is survived by her loving son Gerald LeBlanc and daughter-in-law June Madary LeBlanc, five beloved grandchildren, Gerald LeBlanc, Jr., Pamela LeBlanc Weiser, Mark LeBlanc, Jennifer LeBlanc Van Houtte, and David LeBlanc, and five loving great-grandchildren, Christine and Michael Weiser, Maxim and Liam Van Houtte, and Elsie LeBlanc.
Mrs. Leblanc was an active volunteer at St. Louis Cathedral Church and School, and the Arabi Lions Club. . She was awarded the Order of St. Louis Medallion in 1992 and Lioness of the Year in 1984-1985. She was a graduate of St. Louis Cathedral School and a lifelong resident of the French Quarter in New Orleans.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral mass on Thursday, February 5, 2009 at 11:30 AM at St. Louis Cathedral, 615 Pere Antoine Alley, New Orleans, LA 70116. Visitation on Thursday, AT THE CATHEDRAL, from 10:00 AM until service time.
Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
