I am so sorry, Kathy, to hear about Gordon. My deepest sympathy. I remember Gordy and you so fondly from your years in Chicago. I worked with Dr. Franke for many years at Southeast. He will long be remembered as a kind, gentle soul who loved his work. Condolences to his family.

I knew Gordon through Southeast Louisiana Hospital. I was on the Leadership Committee with him. I was always impressed by how much he cared about the kids that he treated on Youth Services. He went above and beyond in doing everything he could, along with the treatment team, to see the kids get better. He will be missed.

I worked with Dr. Franke many years on Youth Services at Southeast Louisiana Hospital, with both inpatient and partial hospitalization programs. He was an amazing man with those children and adolescents. He was always smiling and upbeat, except for during a few of the tedious meetings we were required to attend! He will be greatly missed. He was revered among his colleagues for his experiential knowledge and mentoring manner. My heart goes out to his family for their loss. Prayers for peace and healing during their grief.

Our hearts go out to the Franke family during this difficult time. Dr. Franke "Gordon" was such a wonderful person and quite the gentleman. I had the honor of working with him for several years and still treasure those moments. Kevin and I feel blessed to have known him and his family. We pray that the Franke family have the strength to carry on as he is lifted into that great heavely place where he will be welcomed with open arms by those who went before him.
