Gilbert "Sonny" Reber Jr.'s Obituary
Gilbert “Sonny” Reber Jr. passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at the age of 83. He was born in New Orleans, LA on March 29, 1938 to Gilbert Mattio Reber, Sr. and Leonie Louise Murray Reber.
Sonny is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Joanne Bartchy Reber and his three children, Jill McCullough (Mark), Gilbert (Tiger) Reber, III (Carol), and Dr. Jimmy Reber. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Matthew McCullough, Nicole Kelly (Patrick), Joanna Perilloux (Stephen), Madi Reber, Zach Reber, and Cameron Reber; one great grandchild, Logan Kelly; one step grandchild, Dionne Michel (Claude); and two step great grandchildren, Malayna and Ruby Michel. He is also survived by two sisters, Dian McGovern (Dennis) and Anna Violet Reber.
Sonny is preceded in death by his parents, and grandchild, Mattio Reber.
Sonny was born in New Orleans and raised in Big Branch. He graduated from Mandeville High School. Sonny served in the US Marine Corps for 3 years. After serving he worked in the construction industry.
Sonny was very proud of the time he served in the marine corp. He loved hunting and fishing and working in his yard.

Private services will be held by the family.
