Gertrude M. Jenkins on Tuesday April 25, 2006. Wife of Carl H. Jenkins for 59 years. Daughter of the late Ardena and Adolph Mendow. Mother of Barbara J. Sharp of Covington, Marsha J. Carter of Cleveland, TN, Judy J. Cazaux, and the late Carl Keith Jenkins and Sandra J. McCary. Mother-in-law of Richard McCary of Jackson, MS. Kenzie E. Sharp, Lester Cazaux and Wayne Carter of Cleveland, TN. Sister of Warren Mendow, Lorraine Duncan of Alabama, Kitty McLain, Helen West of Delaware and the late Louis Mendow and Frances Galloway. Grandmother of Joseph Sharp, JoLynne Buckerfield, Jennifer Perilloux, Jaclyn Dobraska, Aaron Sharp, Travis Sharp, Stephanie Carter, Conner McCary and Logan McCary. Great-grandmother of Ashley Pratt, Jackson Dobraska, Jacob Dobraska and Johanna Sharp. Age 75 years, a native and life long resident of Covington, LA. Mrs. Jenkins was a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, and on the Cemetery Board of the Pilgrim Rest Cemetery. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Saturday April 29, 2006 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, Inc., 2260 West 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433. Interment in Pilgrim Rest Cemetery. Visitation on Friday April 28, 2006 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and again on Saturday from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
