I was a student at Sabal Palm, and my late mother was the PTA President in 1980 and close friends with Trudy and Doc. Mrs. Edelman was a very dear person and great educator/administrator.

My name is Barry Ivan White. MRS Edelman was my principal at North County Elementary in the 60s and boy was I a menace. Her patience and caring calmed me down and won me over. Later she was the principal for my 2 daughters at Sabal Palm Elementary and I was able to enjoy working with her to the benefit of their education and studies. My condolences. I didn't know she had passed but I remembered her this morning and the impact she had on my life so I searched for her. Glad to say I was able to thank her for adjusting my attitude some 30 years ago. I will never forget her. REST IN PEACE MRS EDELMAN.
I worked with Mrs. Edelman at North County and at Golden Glades Elementary School. She was an awesome teacher and the best principal a teacher could have to work with and learn from each day. She made us feel like we were the best! She inspired us to do more and love what we were doing. Mrs. Edelman was one in a million!

Mrs. Edelman was such a kind woman. I had the privilege of being one of her kids for my first 6 years of public school. Over 30 years later and I can still remember her voice, her smile, and her hugs. She made Sabal Palm a family. She made an impression on so many. She will he missed.
