Gerard B. Robinson's Obituary
Gerard B. Robinson passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at the age of 81.
Beloved husband of Alice K. Robinson. Son of the late Ida Foss Robinson and Albert Robinson. Step-father of Arie D. Witham and Cynthia N. Forbes. Brother of the late Donald M. Robinson and Avis Patricia Robinson Dalio. Step-brother of the late Albert Robinson. Also survived by five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and thirteen nieces and nephews.
He was a native of New Orleans and Lacombe. Gerard graduated from the Merchant Marine Academy and served in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Robinson was a Captain for Lykes Lines and served as a Federal Pilot in the Panama Canal.
A funeral service will be held at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Friday, December 14, 2012 at 11:00 AM with visitation on Friday beginning at 10:00 AM.
Interment will follow in Metairie Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions of Mr. Robinson to be made to the St. Tammany in memory Humane Society.
