Gerard Lamy's Obituary
Gerard “Gerry” Lamy passed away on Friday, May 1, 2009.
Beloved husband of 60 years to Marie Mustacchia Lamy; loving father of Patricia Kymen and her husband Blake, Theresa Pansano and her husband Nolan, Robert E. “Bobby” Lamy and his wife Amy, Catherine Nagem and her husband Dr. Edmund, Tami Lamy-McDevitt and her husband Jim, and Mary Elizabeth Ferguson and her husband John; grandfather to Blakely, Kristin, Meredith, Allison, Caroline, Ross, Catherine, Caitlin, Bailey, Brendan, Elizabeth, Sarah and Rogers; and brother to Father Robert Lamy and Mary Alice Hambliton. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Isabelle McWhorter Lamy; his father, William James Lamy; a grandson, Salvadore Anthony Rabito; a brother, William James Lamy; and a sister, Rose Claire McNamara. Age 82 years, he was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Covington, LA for the past 50 years. He was a salesman with Exxon Oil Company for over 40 years.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter Catholic Church, 125 East 19th Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Monday, May 4, 2009 at 3:00 PM.
Visitation AT THE CHURCH will begin at 1:00 PM on Monday.
Interment will follow in St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to E.J. Fielding Funeral Home of Covington, LA.
