Dear Jay, Penny, Cookie and Cathy, I am sorry for your loss (and ours - the living). Your Mom was a sweet and strong lady. What a great smile she always had!!! The world is a much better place for her life and legacy. It is a great tribute to see so many great attributes of hers, living on in all of you. Eternal rest grant unto Mrs. Gerry, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she intervene with Jesus, for us who remain. We were neighbors of Ms. Valenti, and we just wanted to say how sorry we are for your family. As we both know well, it is so hard to lose a Mother, no matter the age. We have fond memories of Ms. Valenti from her vivacious personality to her wonderful praulines that she would make and bring to the neighborhood gatherings. She will truly be missed. I saw Gerry in the newspaper and Just wanted to expresss my sincere condolences. I worked with Gerry years ago at NOPSI as a rep. on the 7th floor in customer service. I really liked her. She was so virbrant, warm & friendly. She made everyone smile with her good since of humor. It was a pleasure to be in her company. I remember when she said she was leaving and moving across the lake. I was sorry to see her go. She was such a joy to be around. I am glad to read she had such a lovely family...how very blessed she was and slso you to have the love of such a lovely lady. My thoughts and prayers are with you, her family and friends, as you say good by to a very special person.....

Cookie, Pennie - I remember your Mom as a high spirited, comedic Holy Rosary lady. Gee, I guess that's where ya'll got your personalities from. I'm sure she's recounting girl scout days with my Mom right now, and enjoing a good laugh. Try to remember the good years, not the last days.
