Geraldine "Gerri" Marion Leonard Hulin's Obituary
Geraldine “Gerri” Marion Leonard Hulin, a beloved mother, grandmother, and caregiver, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at the age of 80, surrounded by family. Geraldine was born on November 30, 1943 in Madisonville, LA to the late Gerald Joseph Leonard and Louella Keating Kinler. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 40 years, John Harvey Hulin, her sisters, Elaine Leonard Russell and Mavis Leonard Davis, and her granddaughter, Melissa Hulin.
Gerri dedicated her life to caring for others, first as a devoted school bus driver, and later as a caregiver for the elderly. She was known for her kind heart and compassionate nature. She had a special gift for putting others first and making them feel loved and valued. Her warm smile and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Gerri loved dancing, going to garage sales, and had a passion for helping others.
Gerri is survived by her loving children, Don Harvey Hulin (Holly), Theresa B. Trahan (Drukell), and Gerald Avery Hulin (Christine), seven grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren, as well as her sisters, Janice Leonard Lambert Smith (John), Sheila Leonard, and Sheri Leonard Schmidt (Keith).
Gerri will be deeply missed and will always hold a special place in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial service to celebrate Gerri’s life at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W 21st Avenue, Covington, LA on Monday, March 11, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, 2280 W 21st Avenue, Covington, LA.
