Geraldine “Gerry” Frances Trochesset Ebeling passed away after a brief illness on January 13, 2011, she was 92. Gerry was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on November 12, 1918 to Albert Bartholomew Trochesset, Sr. and Josephine B. Read Obituary

Grant and I share your sadness and your rejoicing at Aunt Gerry's homegoing. I admit that I cried and cried as her death reminded me of my Momma's death.
I will always remember Aunt Gerry with love. She bought a cross to put on our wedding cake for the reception at St. Gabriel's Parish Hall. This was just one of her many acts of generosity. I am sorry that I was not able to go to her service Monday and to visit with family.
I am so lucky to have known you. All ways a lady. You will be missed.

Mrs. Ebeling was my ESL teacher between 1970-1973 at McDonough 39 Elementary school in New Orleans. I came from Cuba in 1970 and she taught me, my siblings, and many others how to speak English. I am thankful and appreciate her patience while she was our teacher. I never forgot her name and what she did for us. God Bless you, Mrs. Ebeling!

Gerry was a wonderful person to know and we enjoyed the benefit of all her tremendous knowledge of plants in the Abita Springs Garden Club. But she was so much more than that---she was a woman who loved life and loved people. I am grateful for having known her. Love and prayers to you all.
