Gerald "Jerry" Lee Olivier's Obituary
Gerald “Jerry” Lee Olivier of Mandeville, LA passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018. He was born on October 22, 1932 in New Orleans, LA to Alvin Joseph Olivier, Sr. and Beatrice Scivicque Olivier.
Jerry is survived by his beloved wife, Merline Seeger Olivier; his children Alana Olivier Morgan (Robert), Sherise Olivier Wittmann, Jason Thomas Olivier, Stuart John Olivier; his step-daughters Deborah Bordelon King, Nancy Bordelon Muller, Barbara Bordelon Frye; his 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Donald James Olivier.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Alvin Joseph Olivier, Jr., his sister Shirley Lanzl, and his first wife Beverly Beck Olivier.
Jerry was raised in New Orleans, LA and graduated from Holy Cross School. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served on the U.S.S. Baltimore. After his time in the service, he attended Loyola University where he earned his degree, Bachelor of Commercial Science. Jerry was the Owner/Operator of Interstate Collection Bureau, Inc. He was also a parishioner of Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Mandeville, LA.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 2:00 PM with visitation on Saturday beginning at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow the service in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
