Gerald "Jerry" Manning's Obituary
Gerald “Jerry” Manning, 83, of Robert, LA died on Sunday, June 26, 2016, at Forest Manor Nursing Home in Covington, LA.
Jerry was born on Sunday, January 29, 1933 in New Orleans, LA to the late Ashton Manning and Mae Butler Manning.
Gerald is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Rosemary Rosch Manning, his daughter Debra “Debbie” Manning Collins (Donald), his granddaughter Caitlin Collins, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; his three brothers Patrick, Edward, and Noel; and two sisters Eva Guerra and Joyce Garvin.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of St. Tammany Parish Hospital and St. Tammany Parish Hospice for their care and support. Also, his family sends a special thank you to the staff of Forest Manor Nursing Home for all of their help, support, and kindness during Jerry’s time as a resident.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 12 Noon with visitation from10 AM until service time.
Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Covington, LA.
