Gerald "Jerry" Anthony Cincotta's Obituary
On Saturday July 10th, 2021, Gerald “Jerry” Anthony Cincotta, 77, passed away suddenly at his home in Covington, Louisiana. He was born in Fulton, NY to the late Anthony Cincotta and Adaline Litwack Cincotta. Jerry has been a resident of Cincinnati, Parma Heights, and Strongsville, OH; Norwood and Ipswich, MA; Broomall, Havertown and Erie, PA; Salem VA; and New Orleans, Mandeville and lastly, Covington LA.
Jerry grew up in his parent’s grocery business and graduated from Fulton High school in 1961, where he lettered in football, basketball & track. Jerry went on to Graduate in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati, where he was a proud member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. Jerry had an illustrious career in the Marine Sales industry with GE until he retired after 30 years. When retirement didn’t suit him, he went on to continue his career with Northrop Grumman and finally Rolls Royce Marine.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sandra Erdeljohn of Cincinnati, OH; children, Jay (Shari) Cincotta of Chardon, OH, Joli Longstreth of Middleburg, FL, Jessie (Adam) Wagner of Baton Rouge, LA, & Jocelyn Cincotta of Lacombe,LA. He also leaves behind 5 granddaughters, 2 grandsons, 2 Great-grandsons and 4 step grandchildren.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Celebration of Jerry’s amazing life, on Sandy & Jerry’s 55th Wedding Anniversary, September 5th, 2021, to be held from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Annadele’s Plantation, 71518 Chestnutt St, Covington, LA.
