Gerald "Gerry" Farley Dennis Sr.'s Obituary
Gerald “Gerry” Farley Dennis Sr. passed away at the age of 78 on Friday September 23, 2022 at NE Georgia Medical Center surrounded by some of his loving family. He was the son of the late Evarist Dennis Jr. and Orchid Farley Dennis, husband of 44 years to the late Glenda Migliarrio Dennis and survived by his dearly loved brother Evarist “EJ” Dennis III (Elizabeth).
Gerry leaves, to cherish the memory of him, 4 children and spouses, Gerald “Farley” Dennis (Susan), Anthony “Tony” Dennis (Allison), Kelly Dennis Norman (Kevin) and Gerrett Dennis (Beth). His love for life will be lived on through his 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and loving partner Carol “Cukie” Weaver.
Gerry was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on September 13, 1944 and graduated from McDonough 35 High School in 1963 and was a longtime resident of the Northshore. In the 1970’s he started his own business Dennis Tree Service which he was in high demand for his outstanding services.
Gerry was an avid fisherman who was loving, compassionate, and most of all a very caring person to all. He enjoyed spending his retirement days traveling across the country. However, his true passion was spending time with his loving family. Gerry was well respected and liked and will be deeply and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W 21st Avenue, Covington, Louisiana on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 11:00 AM with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow the services in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 2280 W 21st Avenue, Covington, Louisiana.
