Deacon George "Butch" Shartle's Obituary
Deacon George “Butch” Shartle passed away at his residence on Monday, December 12, 2016 at the age of 65.
Loving husband of 45 years to Virginia Bishop Shartle. Father of Patrick Shartle and Bryan Shartle. Father-in-law of Julie McDaniel Shartle. Son of the late Louise Morgan Shartle and George Shartle. Brother of the late Harry “Sonny” Shartle. Grandfather of Chloe and Caleb Shartle.
Deacon Shartle was U.S. Air Force Retired and a Deacon with the Archdiocese of New Orleans since 2006 and served at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Mandeville, LA.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1501 West Causeway Approach, Mandeville, LA 70471 on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 12:00 noon with visitation at church on Thursday beginning at 10:00 AM.
Interment will follow in St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery.
