George Patrick “Pat” Schexnaydre, age 88 of Mandeville, LA died on Saturday, January 10, 2015, at his residence. Born, Monday, June 21, 1926 in New Orleans, LA to Amedee Augustin Schexnaydre and Edmee Camille Schexnaydre. He was a WWII Veteran having served in the Merchant Marines. He was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus and a member of Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church. He was an owner and partner of Allied Refrigeration of Metairie.
Survived by his Wife of 67 years - Betty Grethe Schexnaydre, Daughters - Bonnie Judy (Luke), Linda DiGeronimo (Ken), Terri Schexnaydre, Patti Ray (Archie), and Billie Anderson (William), Sisters - Elsie Danos, and Lucille Compton, Brother - Ronald Schexnaydre, 11 Grandchildren and 3 GreatGrandchildren
He was predeceased by his Parents, Daughter - Penny Trosclair, Sisters Marjorie Lummen, Mary Frances Nichols, Edmee Blistine, Brother - Amedee A. Schexnaydre, Jr.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Mary Queen of Peace, 1501 West Causeway Approach Mandeville, LA 70471.
Visitation on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Mary Queen of Peace.
Interment in St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery St. Benedict, LA at a later date.
In Lieu of flowers donation may be made to St. Joseph Abbey Pennies for Bread or Masses.
