George Matthew Pecoraro Jr.'s Obituary
George M. “Peck” Pecoraro, Jr., age 65, of Mandeville, Louisiana, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026. He was born on September 16, 1960, in New Orleans, Louisiana.
He is survived by his siblings, Ronald G. Pecoraro (Elizabeth) and Susan P. Davis (Bernie); stepmother, Sandra Pecoraro; half-brothers, Nicholas Pecoraro and Matthew Pecoraro (Michelle); nephew, Adam Davis, niece, Rebecca Davis; and many extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Matthew Pecoraro Sr. and Mary Lucille Bankston Pecoraro.
George was the kind of person who made life lighter just by being in the room. Fun loving and full of energy, he never passed up a chance to gather with friends for a good time, whether it was sharing a cigarette or a Jim Beam with Coke. George had a deep love of celebrations, especially parades, where his spirit truly shined.
More than anything, George valued the people around him. He built strong friendships throughout his life; from childhood to present day. He was surrounded by many who cared deeply for him. At the heart of his life was his devoted family, who stood by him and shared in his laughter and his journey. He was a soldier; never complained about his fate, and seemed to accept his prognosis.
He will be remembered for his lively spirit, his warmth, and the joy he brought to so many.
