George “Buck” Milton Loyd, Jr. on Saturday, December 1, 2007.
He was born May 6, 1947 to Dorothy Tisdale Loyd and the late George M. Loyd, Sr. He was a devoted husband to Jacqueline Dupre Loyd and the loving father of Angie L. Finch (David) and Richelle L. Luper (Damon). He is survived by four grandchildren: Jacob and Justin Luper, Alyssa and Bryce Finch. He is the brother of Clarice L. Chehardy (Moe), Laurie L. Lee (Bret Boyer); Dave Loyd (Cindy), Gary Loyd (Madelyn), John Loyd (Carol), Michael Loyd (Debi), Bruce Loyd (Patricia), the late Arnold Loyd (Francois) and the late Ronald Loyd (Jayne); son-in-law of Hazel Verrett Dupre and the late Ruben Dupre, Sr.; brother-in-law of Ruben and Janice Dupre, Glenn and Geralyn Dupre. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
He grew up in the Lee Rd. Community, was a resident of Folsom for almost four years and worked for the Local Union 798 Pipeline Division.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend Funeral Services on Monday, December 3, 2007 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433.
A wake is scheduled for Sunday, December 2, 2007 from 6-9:00 PM, with visiting hours beginning Monday at 9:00 AM.
Interment will follow services at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Covington.
