George C. Hingle, Sr. at 12:36 PM on Wednesday August 23, 2006.
Beloved husband of 55 years of the late Charlotte Stutz Hingle who died on March 3, 2004; Father of one daughter Margaret H. Williams and her husband, Jim of Mandeville; three sons, Charles W. Hingle and his wife, Susan Ogden of Billings, MT; James A. Hingle and his wife, Dale Kesterson of Jetmore, KS; and George C. Hingle, Jr. and his wife Dulce of New Orleans. Grandfather of five grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his father, George William Hingle and mother, Ethlyn Louise Horn Hingle and a brother, Donald Hingle.
Age 80, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Mandeville. He served his country as a Corporal in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II. A graduate of Tulane University as a geologist, at his retirement he was employed with Dorchester Exploration. He was a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists.
The family of Mr. Hingle would like to thank the staff of The Windsor Retirement Community, Northlake Sitters and Hospice of St. Tammany for their care and support.
