George "Potts" Gottschalk's Obituary
George “Potts” Gottschalk passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at the age of 73.
Beloved son of the late Eva Cecile Bush Gottschalk and George William Gottschalk. Brother of June Fussell, Leander Gottschalk, Philip Gottschalk, Theodore “Acey” Gottschalk and the late Doris Sharp and Linda Henderson. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Gottschalk was a native and lifelong resident of St. Tammany Parish. He was a former employee of Avondale Shipyard, Fairview State Park and retired from the St. Tammany Parish School Board. “Potts” had a great sense of humor and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Monday, April 25, 2016 at 11:00 AM with visitation on Monday beginning at 9:00 AM.
Interment will follow in Bennett Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mr. Gottschalk to be made to Live Oak Missionary Baptist Church,78273 Hwy 1077, Folsom, LA 70437.
