Gayle Dupuy Woody, born on February 3, 1950, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away on September 2, 2024, in Covington, Louisiana. She was a beloved sister, aunt, and friend, known for her vibrant personality and strong-willed nature. Gayle dedicated her career as an administrative assistant in the oil and gas industry, where she left a lasting impression on her colleagues with her humor and unwavering spirit. Outside of work, she found joy in arts and crafts, often creating beautiful pieces that reflected her creativity. An avid fan of football, Gayle also had a special fondness for country and various other genres of music. However, nothing brought her more happiness than indulging in her favorite treat - ice cream. She was known to light up any room she entered, never meeting a stranger and always making those around her feel welcome. Gayle is preceded in death by her parents, James Lionel Dupuy and Kathryn Virginia Kimbro Dupuy. Gayle survived by her sister, Kathryn Virginia Dupuy Peak, her brother, George Kimbro Dupuy, and many nieces and nephews who cherished her dearly. Gayle shared her warmth and laughter with everyone she encountered. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for her strength, humor, and the love she spread throughout her life.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Service on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of the E J Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, LA and the visitation will begin at 1:00 pm until service time. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens and Cemetery.
