Gaye Wynell Wertz passed away on Friday, September 6, 2013 at the age of 65. She was a native of Columbus, GA and a resident of Lacombe, LA for the past 17 years. She was the daughter of the late Paul Arthur and Wynell Tindell We Read Obituary

I am so sorry to hear of Gaye's passing. She was such a fun and positive soul, and she will be deeply missed.
Gaye was such a dear friend and I will miss her! I enjoyed working with Gaye over the years. She was a very loving and caring person. My family and I will miss her. Our prayers and thoughts are with her family.
Not long ago, we at Christ Episcopal Church Slidell were blessed to have dear Gaye among us briefly. She played piano for some services, and joined our choir for a "Lessons and Carols" event. I'll always remember her generous spirit and beautiful music.
I have just learned of Gaye's death and am immeasurably saddened. She was so kind and helpful to me when I needed an accompaniment tape for my students in Talented Theatre. She played piano and recorded all of the music for our production of "Peanuts". A truly gracious and talented person with great warmth and a marvelous sense of humor. " May flights of angels sing thee to thy rest ".

My heart is so, so sad... Gaye was such a gracious lady - so sweet, so Southern. Quick laugh and even quicker wit. Humble, compassionate, always offered to help. This is an immeasurable loss to all the students with whom she shared her love of English. We all became better teachers and better students because Ms. Gaye cared so deeply for us all.
