Dr. Gary taught me in dental school and was a very important person in my training. A straight shooter with a fabulous wit kept everyone on their toes! We became friends after I graduated and I often found myself in his office on my day off just catching up. What a gift to the students who he taught...a real GEM! RIP, Gary T. I will cherish our time together. God Speed!

Gary is my daughter’s cousin although there is a 40 year age difference. But my tribute is how little he may have known of his impact. His little cousin became a dental student in 2009 and her big shot Gary never ceased to care about her time under his watch. As a graduation gift Gary passed to her the human skull he had kept from his student days a generation or two before. Little could he have known the impact of that skull being her treasured and respected gift. She went on to become an oral surgeon and her legacy skull literally helped her study. To understand the anatomy she could envision and crush her boards. Thank you Gary for the modest gift that added to your life legacy. Janis and Mike Lottinger
