Gary Wade Geiger's Obituary
Gary Wade Geiger, age 55, of Mandeville, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024. He was born on January 3, 1969, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Sinclair Geiger; his paternal grandparents, James E. and Mamie Geiger; maternal grandparents, Earl and Alice Sinclair; and two grandsons, Lincoln and Bennett Geiger
He is survived by his father, Bill Geiger; brother, Brent Geiger; children, Corey Geiger and his wife Gabrielle; Lindsey Waguespack and her husband Aubert, Alicia Geiger, Monica Geiger; grandchildren, Aubrey Waguespack, Bliss Waguespack, Cruz Waguespack, Gavin Geiger, Nolan Geiger; nephew, Max Geiger; and many extended family members, and friends.
Gary grew up in Baton Rouge and graduated from Central High School in 1987 before earning his electrical certification from ITI Technical College. He worked for many years as the lead electrical start-up engineer for NextEra Energy serving nearly all of the United States and even places in Saudi Arabia. He was a loving father, son, grandfather, uncle, and friend, and he will be dearly missed.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Geiger may be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home at lbch.org, to St. Vincent de Paul Baton Rouge at svdpbr.org, or to a charity of your choice.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at 11:00 AM at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, Louisiana, with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
