Gary Herbert Auch Moedy's Obituary
Born February 6, 1941 in Hastings, Nebraska
Passed away peacefully at home April 6, 2017 Mandeville, LA.
He attended Elementary and High School in Broken Bow Nebraska, and graduated from University of Nebraska- Kearney in 1971.
He is a Viet Nam veteran having spent 3 years in the USMC and then joined the OCS program.
He married Sharon Rose Hoier 11/24/1972. His professional career was spent in the insurance business starting with Mutual of Omaha and ending 47 years later with Agon Life of Amsterdam.
He is preceded in death by his parents H.B. and Ardeth Auch Moedy, his brother Joe and daughter Callie.
He is survived by his wife Sharon, son Todd and daughter in law Chris of Covington, LA., daughter Amy of Boston, MA., five grandchildren Sherri and Lance Nozik of Chisinau, Moldova, Taylor Wager of Covington, LA., Emily, Callie and Jack Conlon all of Boston MA., sister-in-law Esther Auch Moedy of Ravenna, NE and nephews Matt and Andy Auch Moedy of Omaha and Lincoln, NE.
Memorial service will be held on April 19th 11am at Christ Episcopal Church in Covington, LA.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society and Christ Episcopal Church in memoriam of Gary Auch Moedy.
