Fred L. Sommers passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2012.
Beloved husband of Lorene S. Sommers. Father of Aniceta Rito and Laurie S. Brauwn (Grant). Grandfather of Michael and Nicholas Rito, twins Joel (Chelsea) and Ashley and Joshua Brauwn. Brother of Pearl Gaudin (Sidney), Dorothy Sahuque (Paul), Eleanor Morris (Ronnie) and the late William Sommers, Albert Sommers (Rita Mae) and Arthur J. Sommers.
Age 84 years. A native of New Orleans, LA, a former longtime resident of Lacombe, LA and a resident of Mandeville, LA for the past year.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the memorial service at Church of Faith, 61305 Airport Rd., Slidell, LA 70460 on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 1:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3717 Government Street, Suite 7, Alexandria, LA 71302 (www.alz.org).
