It is March 18. 2017 and I am just reading this Obit. I wondered
why I had not seen my "dear friend" around Madisonville. Frank was "one of a kind" . He always had that wonderful smile and I can hear him now saying "Hey, Molly", I am truly blessed to have had the pleasure of knowing such a kind and gentle person. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family especially Bruce and Jeff. I remember how we bartered at Marina Beau Chene. He dredged the slips for the paddle wheeler. Then there was the big workboat he bought and had dreams for it. He was always doing unique things such as taking out movie crews to film things such as the "Green Lantern"

Laurie and family, it is March 9th and I am just hearing of the passing of my forever friend Frank. There was always a special love for him in my heart. He was truly a wonderful man and taught me a lot of things about making it in the real world as a single parent. So sorry I could not make the services even if I had known. I was recovering from a fatal accident where I lost my husband. My prayers are with you all. He truly will be missed by me and many others. Kay Jenkins Koppenol

Frank was a good friend. One of my daughters wanted a wedding on the water and Frank took the whole wedding party and guests out on his boat for the ceremony. He ended the services by taking us out into the lake to watch the sunset. My daughter still talks about how perfect that day was. Frank did not charge for the boat and I had to force him to take the money to pay the fuel and crew.I wish I could have interviewed him for a story because he had a truly interesting life. He was an honorable man.

When my child was small Frank would always take us on his paddle wheel on the river. He kept it next door by our boathouse. We were good friends and he always was there when I needed advice. Laurie and all of his children, I'm so sorry for your loss. Madisonville lost a good friend.
Frank was always an encourager and made sure that I didn't settle for second best. He always made sure I knew I could do better. He was a great friend and boss. He would tell me "if you hit the nail more than twice, you're doing it wrong, Crystal!" Such a big heart. He will forever be in mine.
