The first time I met Russel was at the Shreveport shop. His little bro, Steve, and I were friends and he took me to the shop. I was 15, and when I saw the Fiat with the blower, I was AMAZED. Russel joked with me about cars and that event helped turn me into a drag racer. When I moved to Kenner years later, he did all my engine machine work. I always looked forward to talking with him when I was there. He affected my life, and I'm thankful.
