Francis Antonio Menendez, Sr., age 89 of Covington, LA died on Monday, July 25, 2016, at his home. Born, Sunday, November 21, 1926 in Tampa, FL to David Garcia Menendez and Henriette Bouron Menendez.
Survived by his loving wife of 66 years - Emogene M. Palmisano Menendez, and he was a loving and devoted father and grandfather to daughter - Linda Gregson (Raymond), sons - Francis Menendez, Jr. (Karen), David Menendez (Benita), and Darrin Menendez (Valerie),
13 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his Father - David Garcia Menendez, Mother - Henriette Bouron Menendez.
Mr. Menendez graduated from Fortier High School and attended Spencer’s College. He worked for Falstaff Brewing Corp., Coca Cola, Pepsi, Dixie Brewing Co. and Abita Springs Water Co.
He was very proud to serve his country in the Navy during WWII.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at St. Jane de Chantal Church, 72040 Maple St. Abita Springs, LA .
Visitation on Saturday, July 30, 2016 from 9:30 AM to service time.
Interment in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Covington, LA.
