Fenard Herbert Wager's Obituary
Fenard Herbert Wager passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022 from Alzheimers with his wife, daughter and oldest granddaughter by his side. He was born on October 27, 1936 in Madisonville, LA to Marshal H. Wager and Ethel Sharp Wager.
Fenard is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Shirley Joyce Herrin Wager of Lumberton, MS; his daughter, Cheryl Ann Wager; his sister, Doris Windom; 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Fenard is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Elizabeth Dianne Wager Newman; and brother, Fenwick J. Wager;
Fenard made his career as a welder. He was loving, kind, humble, caring, and loyal. Fenard enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and tending to his cows. His true passion was spending time with his loving family, especially his grandchildren. Fenard was well respected and liked, and will be deeply and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W 21st Avenue, Covington LA on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 11:00 AM with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow the service in Wager Cemetery, Wager Cemetery Road, Madisonville, LA.
