Felder F. Fitzmorris' Obituary
Felder F. Fitzmorris, age 73, of Covington, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025. He was born on July 28, 1952, in Franklinton, Louisiana.
He is survived by his siblings, Brenda Forester (Gary), Wayne Fitzmorris (Tessa), and Russell Fitzmorris (Norma); godsons, Stephen Fitzmorris and Caleb Fitzmorris; caregivers, Roger Fayard and Chris Ward; and many extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul E. Fitzmorris, Sr. and Ella Lucille Fairburn Fitzmorris; and siblings, Paul E. Fitzmorris, Jr. and Carolyn Dupont (Ken).
Felder was raised on Million Dollar Road and attended Covington High School where he was an all-district tackle on the football team. A man of many talents, he started an alligator farm and owned multiple business over the years in the restaurant and real estate development industries. He loved gardening and tending his birds and koi ponds.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 11:00 AM at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, Louisiana, with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow in Bruhl Cemetery on Bruhl Road in Folsom, Louisiana.
