Evelyn Ann McGuyer's Obituary
Evelyn Ann McGuyer, 89, from Covington, Louisiana, peacefully passed away Sunday, September 8th, 2024. Ann was born on July 9, 1935, in El Dorado, Arkansas, to Quincy Adam Norman & Myrtle Odell Hampton, and raised in Vivian, Louisiana. Ann was married for 57 years and was preceded in death by her late husband, Jack T. McGuyer, her parents, three brothers, and five sisters.
Ann is survived by her three sons, Jackie Thomas McGuyer, Jr. (Jackie), Franklin Adams McGuyer (Vicki), and Michael Perry McGuyer and her three grandchildren: Whitney, JT, Madison Kelly, and four great-grandchildren.
Ann graduated from the X-ray Technician Program in Shreveport, Louisiana and continued this career for many years in Covington. Ann was a wonderful mother and wife, always there when you needed her most, offering abundant support, wisdom, and love. Her passions were cooking, quilting, and gardening, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Ann was a member of the United Methodist Church and a proud resident of Covington, Louisiana, for 66 years, where she made many friends and beautiful memories. She was a beautiful person inside and out. She cared deeply for the people around her. She was so kind and passionate. She made an impact on many lives. She will be forever missed.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Service on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 11:00 am at E J Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, LA and the visitation will begin at 9:00 am until service time. Interment will be at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 2280 West 21st Avenue, Covington, LA.
