Eunice Hanna Burns' Obituary
Eunice Hanna Burns (98) died peacefully Wednesday, January 4, 2012 in Texas surrounded by her family. Eunice was born at her Aunt Rose’s home in Amite, LA on July 8, 1913 to the late Katie and Edward Hanna. She moved to Covington in 1931 and was a life long faithful member of the First United Methodist Church of Covington.
The beloved wife of the late Frank M. Burns, Sr., she is survived by her sister Kathryn Gammil, her children Kay Hestrest Hyde, Robenia Burns, and Frank M. Burns Jr.; her grandchildren Laura Roberts, Amy Allen, Brooke Cracken, and Malloy Daniels, and her three great grandchildren Sarah, Rebecca, and Leland. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Gladys Janney, George Edward Hanna, and Lloyd Hanna.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at 11:00 AM on Saturday January 7, 2012 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433.
Visiting hours will begin Saturday at 9:30 AM.
Interment at the Chubby Hill Family Cemetery will immediately follow services.
