Euney Joseph Stelly Jr.'s Obituary
Euney Joseph Stelly, Jr. passed away due to complications from Muscular Dystrophy on Thursday, November 14, 2019 surrounded by family at his home in Mandeville, LA. He was born on July 2, 1943 in Opelousas, LA to the late Euney Joseph Stelly, Sr. and Birdie Taylor Stelly.
Euney was the beloved husband of Betty Powers Stelly for 55 years. He was the loving father of Jennifer S. Bonner and her husband, Ronnie Bonner. Euney was the proud grandfather of Alli Bonner, Ben Bonner, Caleb Bonner, and Natalie Bonner. He was the brother of Ann Stelly, the late Gerald Stelly, and Larry Stelly.
Euney graduated from Opelousas High School and attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana in Lafayette, LA. He spent his entire 40 year career at Avondale Shipyard, Inc. retiring as a material expeditor. Euney was an avid LSU fan. Geaux Tigers!
Relatives and friends are invited to the Memorial Service at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at 11:00 AM with visitation from 9:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow the service at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, Covington, LA. If desired, donations may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, www.mda.org.
