Eugenie Williams' Obituary
Eugenie Edna Glockner Williams passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at the age of 90. She was born on May 14, 1923 in Mandeville, LA to Eugene and Jeanne Knox Glockner.
In 1941, Eugenie married the late Joseph and together they had three children, Joseph W. Williams, Jr., Eugenie Mathilda Sharp, and Norma Jeanne Birtha. She will be dearly missed by her eight grandchildren, Kenneth J. Williams, James E. Williams, and Cathy M. Williams, Davi L. Tassin, Jacquelyn S. Dixon, and Christian N. Sharp, and Edward Birtha and Charlene Birtha. She leaves behind eleven great grandchildren. She was the sister of Eugene C. Glockner, Jr., Melba J. Wager, Mildred J. Wager, Donald J. Glockner, and the late Edaward L. Glockner.
Eugenie worked as a homemaker and dedicated herself to raising her beloved family. She was a former member of the Mandeville Ladies Lions Club. Eugenie was lover of the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and spending time by the water.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Monday, March 10, 2014 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 at 1:00 PM with visitation from 11:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow services in the Mandeville Mausoleum, Mandeville, LA.
