Eugene Moreell Smith's Obituary
Eugene Moreell Smith passed away peacefully in his Covington, La home on Thursday, July 27, 2023. He was born June 14, 1955 in New Orleans to John and Rita Smith. Eugene is survived by his wife, Ana; his children, Shane, Ben, Brett, Nicholas, Mollie (Jack) and William; his sister, Wanda; his brothers, Jack, Henry, Larry, and Kevin; and ten grandchildren, Victoria, Mason, Gabrielle, Alexandra, Jackson, Julienna, Adelin, Catalina, Grayson, Hallie, and Mila. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Laura; and his sister, Cheryl. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at 3:30 PM on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433. Visiting hours will begin Saturday at 1:30 PM. Burial will follow in St Joseph Abbey Cemetery in St Benedict, LA.
