Eugene Vernon Lee's Obituary
Eugene Vernon Lee passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2021 surrounded by family at his home in Madisonville, LA. He was born on June 7, 1938 in Elgin, IL to the late Vernon O. Lee and Phyliss Brenn Lee.
Gene was the loving father of Sheila L. Bradshaw (Glen), James Alan Dickerson, and Sandra L. Cox (the late Willie, Jr.). He was the proud grandfather of Kaylin Cox, Carissa Cox, Jessica Yuritich, Shannon Crane, Kyle Bradshaw, Jacob Dickerson, Jordan Dickerson, and Rebecca Dickerson. Gene was the brother of Sharon Ebel of Missouri, Gary Lee of Colorada, and the late Dwayne Lee.
Gene was known as “Gene, Gene the Dancing Machine” and could be seen enjoying the music at festivals and other establishments. He was a kind and friendly man who never met a stranger. The family offers their special thanks to Sheila Bradshaw, Toni Lemy, and Lakeside Hospice for their loving care and support.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Service at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 11:00 AM with visitation from 9:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow the service at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, Covington, LA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lakeside Hospice, www.lakesidehospicela.com.
