Ethel Mae Jenkins Hunt Crockett, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2008. Beloved mother of Patricia Hunt Miller and her husband Carlos, Debbie Kennedy and her husband Darren, Nevette C. Chandler and her husband Greg, Alvin Hunt, Nevis “Tip” Crockett, Jr. and Hervy Crockett and his wife Melissa; and sister to Dorothy Swaggerty and Eunice Mclain. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nevis Crockett, Sr.; a son, Kevin Nelson Hunt; her mother, Grace Heck Jenkins; her father, Albert Jenkins; two sister, Inez Voss and Hazel Hunt; and two brothers, Warren Jenkins and Hebert Jenkins. Age 80 years, she was a native and lifetime resident of Covington, LA. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend funeral services on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 11:00 AM from Collins Blvd. Baptist Church, 1501 Collins Blvd., Covington, LA 70433. Visitation on Tuesday from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433 and on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 from 9:00 AM until service time AT THE CHURCH. Interment will follow Simalusa Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Forest Manor Nursing Home for their dedicated care and attention to their mother.
