Esther McRevy Thibaut's Obituary
Esther McRevy Thibaut passed away on November 20, 2021 at the age of 93. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Peter Sims Thibaut; her son, David Thibaut; her grandson, Peter Dubon; her brothers, Clarence and James McRevy; her sister, Dorothy McRevy; and her parents James and Esther McRevy. She was the loving mother of Carol Thibaut Short (William), Patricia Thibaut Dubon (Cesar), mother-in-law of Sharon Thibaut Saia (Keith); grandmother of Rhonda Thibaut LeBeau (Vinny), Matthew, Andrew and Lucas Dubon; step grandmother of William C. Short (Karen), Alana Short Cruse (Clay), Tamara Short Taylor (Michael), Jennifer Short Sibley (Jason), the late Brenna Short and 12 wonderful step-great grandchildren. She was the loving sister of Jerry McRevy Whiting (Gerald); devoted aunt to Karen Whiting Ford (Walter), Sandra Whiting Sizemore, Robert Whiting, Patrick Whiting (Terry), Jeanne McRevy Wilson (Lloyd), James McRevy, Jr. and many grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.
She was a dedicated Christian, Sunday School teacher at Avondale Baptist Church for many decades, devoted wife, mother and friend to many and will be remembers for her open house, wonderful meals, sense of humor and “moving on” attitude. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of Legacy Hospice for their compassion, sense of humor, excellent care and a special thank you to her dear friend, Carletta Evans, for her faithful, joyful care. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
