Ernest Clifford Taylor, A.K.A. “Papa Smurf”, age 68 of Bush, LA died on Wednesday, February 10, 2016, at Northshore Specialty Hospital in Covington, LA. Born, Wednesday, October 08, 1947 in Bogalusa, LA to Ernest L. and Rosie E. Mendow Taylor.
Survived by his Wife - Helen Jenkins Whitehead Taylor, Daughters - Georgette M. Taylor, and Gina Simmons, Granddaughters - Destiny Simmons, Trista Simmons, Taylor Holden, Rosie Robert, and Carrie Taylor, Grandson - Davon Simmons, Great Granddaughter - Kaliee Harb, Great Grandson - Michael Harb, Sister – Nettie-Lois Taylor Dill. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his Parents - Ernest L. and Rosie E. Mendow Taylor, Sister - Linda Taylor, Brothers - Harry Taylor, and Paul Henry Taylor.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue Covington, LA 70433.
Visitation on Saturday, February 13, 2016 from 12:00 PM to service time.
Interment in Pilgrim Rest Cemetery.
