Ernest Everette Cook's Obituary
Ernest Everette Cook, Sr. passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2009.
Beloved husband of 62 years to Patsy Fisher Cook; and loving father of Edward E. Cook, Patricia C. Harrison and Diane C. Lockfield. He was also survived by five grandsons and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Ernest E. Cook, Jr.; his mother, Hallie Wise Cook; his father, George Cook; and four sisters.
Age 82 years, a native of Buckingham County, VA, he was a resident of Covington, LA for the past 45 years. He lived in South Africa for 18 years while working for Gulf Oil Co. and Amoco Oil Co. He retired from Gulf Oil Co. in 1978 and from Amoco Oil Co. in 1990. A United States Navy veteran, he served during World War II.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend funeral services from the Chapel at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, December 30, 2009.
Visitation on Wednesday will begin at 10:00 AM.
Graveside services with Military Honors will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to the Covington Food Bank.
