Ernest Louis Chauvin's Obituary
Ernest Louis Chauvin, III passed away on November 20, 2021 in Covington, LA. He was born on October 20, 1925 in Houma, LA to the late Ernest Louis Chauvin, Jr. and Cecile Fields Chauvin.
Ernest was the beloved husband of the late Lola Reid Chauvin. He was the loving father of, June and Ed Lusk, Ernest Chauvin, IV (Sonny), Mike Chauvin (Wendy), David Chauvin (Charlotte), Paul Chauvin (Tami), Tess and Rick Dennie, Jeff Chauvin (Mary Lou), Mark Chauvin (Lana), Randy Chauvin (Bonnie), and the late Gwen Champagne (Irvin). Ernest is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great-grandchild. He was the brother of the late Daniel Chauvin and Delores Chauvin Boudreaux, both of Houma, LA. Ernest leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
Ernest served in the United States Army in both World War II and Korea and received a Bronze Star in each campaign.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Mass at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1501 W Causeway Approach, Mandeville, LA 70471 on Monday, November 29, 2021 at 11:00 AM. A WAKE will be held on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Visitation AT CHURCH on Monday will begin at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow the Mass at Noah Cemetery, Loranger, LA.
